How is it that the books written by English, Irish, or Scottish authors seem to speak more directly to us?  Is it just a flight of our fancy that puts us in the middle of an English village or struggling with the raging waves at Tintagel?  Or is it that these authors have such a sense of time and place that we readers are made to feel it -- or to hear the voices, to live in those lives?  Enjoy some of our favorite authors from the British Isles, and if you need help finding any of the books by the authors listed below, please ask a reference librarian for assistance.
