Graduate student Ned Conti moves to New York, from New Orleans, to conduct research for a priest.  While there he finds that his apartment is haunted with a ghost and a close friend back home commits suicide.  Revisiting New Orleans draws Conti back to his past, which may actually connect with his current research.

A professor asks three others to spend the weekend with him at Hill House to conduct experiments on the paranormal.  One guest becomes especially affected by the house and the presence within.

Bachman, RichardThinner
Attorney Billy Halleck accidentally hits and kills an old gypsy woman with his car.  He refuses to pay any compensation to her family, so they curse him with the word “thinner.”  Billy begins wasting away and must confront the possibility of death.

Regan, a 12-year-old girl, begins acting strangely, which concerns her mother greatly.  The family doctor finds no physical cause, so priests are called in to rid the girl of demonic possession.

The sequel to Rosemary’s Baby.  Rosemary awakens from a coma to find that her son is a televangelist who preaches hope and peace.  However, the massive following of people doesn’t realize his father is Satan.  Rosemary, who knows the truth, questions her son’s intentions.

The author of The Women of Brewster Place weaves a tale set in an affluent African-American neighborhood where Lester and Willie discover the hidden lives of the residents and what is locked inside one of their basements.      

Psychological

Sergeant Frank O’Hara helped capture and put Gary Ledbetter behind bars.  Even after his execution, Ledbetter haunts O’Hara’s mind.  Now it looks like several new murder cases follow Ledbetter’s M.O., and Frank once again searches for the culprit.

The Lovatts always wanted a house full of children.  Their first four, two boys and two girls, proved to be wonderful additions to their family, but the fifth child is clearly trouble.  From birth, little Ben has caused mayhem, slowly tearing apart the family’s closeness.  After sending him to an institution, Mrs. Lovatt can hardly bear the thought of losing him, and wants to bring Ben home, but to the detriment of the others.

Patrick Bateman is a yuppie through and through.  He works on Wall Street, spends his money on extravagant items, and lives in a superficial, uncaring world.  While he outwardly plays the part of the “normal” socialite, his friends don’t realize his passion for murdering unsuspecting victims.  Graphic and gory.

The Welches are ecstatic when the elite Bonita Vista community Homeowner’s Association allows them to join.  But they soon realize what the Association is really about.  Unbelievable things begin happening and the Welches can hardly believe that their neighbors are capable of doing them.

Dr. Abby DiMatteo follows her conscience and gives a 17-year-old boy a heart transplant, rather than giving it to a rich businessman’s wife.  She is continually harassed over this decision, which eventually leads her to question the hospital’s transplant procedures.  She finds that healthy Russian children’s organs are being harvested to save rich American patients.

“Uncle Matthew” is found unconscious is his condo by John Southerland and his new fiancee.  As they nurse him back to health, unfriendly “people” try to finish the job they started.
