LAUGH & BE WELL: HUMOROUS WRITERS
Selecting humorous books can be a daunting task; what one person finds incredibly funny, another person may find dull and lackluster. The danger of falling flat notwithstanding, we have put together a list of writers who have a reputation for being amusing. The writers listed below all try to take a humorous look at the world and its inhabitants. Some of these authors have written many titles, and others are less prolific, but all of them can be found in the Williamsburg Regional Library's collections, both fiction and nonfiction. There are also several anthologies of humor in the 817 section of the nonfiction collection. If you need any help locating humorous books, please stop by the reference desk and speak with one of the librarians there. In the meantime, select a book, and, as Matthew Green wrote in 1737, "laugh and be well."
