SCIENCE FICTION, SCIENCE FACT 

Many of the ideas presented in science fiction novels have a basis in scientific fact.  Authors often use current scientific research as a springboard from which to speculate on future scientific developments.  They may also examine the social consequences of new technologies that can now only be imagined.  The following list of books includes science fiction novels grouped with non-fiction books on related "real science" topics.  The science fiction titles are shelved in the the fiction area under their authors' last names.  The non-fiction titles are shelved by their call numbers.
