to Learn

The
Williamsburg Regional Library was awarded the 2004 Gale/School
Library Journal Giant
Step Award for an innovative program called Looking to
Learn. In Looking to Learn, librarians from WRL use
picture books with school students
to help increase their reading comprehension and visual literacy
skills. Many of the books used in the program are written
and/or illustrated by Peter
