If you like to help people, especially children, you should consider volunteering at the library during the summer!  In 2005, we had over 80 teen volunteers!  Here's more information:

• Rising seventh through twelfth graders are welcome.

• Application forms are only available in May in both libraries.

• We need volunteers during all hours that the library is open.  On the application, you will write several times that work for you.

• You may volunteer for as little as two hours per week (one shift).  Most volunteer for four hours per week.

• You must be available for at least four out the six weeks of the summer reading program for your shift.

• You must attend an orientation session in order to volunteer.

• The library keeps track of your volunteer hours.  This comes in handy when you are applying for stuff later on!

• We have a volunteer party at the end of every summer.  It's a blast!
