James Kammert joined the Foundation board in July 2003. A retired Banker, he is a member of Friends of WRL, a regular WRL user, and strong believer in the nation's locally focused public library system.  He and his wife both were raised in Pittsburgh and used to go on study dates in Andrew Carnegie's original library (in Pittsburgh's Oakland area). His ‘first library' was the Munn Avenue East Orange (NJ) Public Library (children's section), another in the Carnegie Library 'chain' across the US.  Mr. Kammert is a recent appointee to the City of Williamsburg's Industrial Development Authority.
