POSITION TITLE: Program Services Ticket Taker/Music Sales Volunteer
DIVISION: Program Services
SUPERVISOR: Program Services Director
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT: Variable.
TIME INVOLVEMENT: Typically evenings and weekend.
POSITION SUMMARY: Volunteer assists in the collection of concert tickets in the Library theatre and helping with music sales at intermission and following concerts.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Volunteers must be at Williamsburg Library Theatre about 90 minutes before a concert starts and stay until 30 minutes after its end, typically from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. for an 8 p.m. concert. The volunteer would take tickets the 30 minutes prior to the concert's start and 10 minutes into the concert. Person would also sell CD's, tapes, etc. the performer brings at intermission and immediately following the concert.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school and some general public contact experience preferred. Ability to handle money, keep simple records (product sales) and stand for up to a half-hour at a time. Willingness to undergo training.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum age 16 (unless approved by Program Services Director).
