| Apply for a library card at one of our libraries by
bringing in a picture identification and proof of current address to either library's Check Out desk. Most patrons use a
driver's license, but if you have just moved here, you can use a
bill, lease agreement, or closing documents to show current address. Children may be identified by a parent or
guardian with photo ID and proof of current address. Child must
be present. One library card entitles you to check out and return books at either
location. You can also apply for
a library card online. Any person residing in, working in, retired from, attending school in or owning property in the Commonwealth of Virginia may be issued a library card free of charge. If you have any questions, please call 259-7753 to speak with Circulation staff. |
All
new library cards are issued with Standard Privileges.
Applications for new library cards are reviewed nightly and
upgraded as appropriate for the cardholder's mailing address.
There are bookdrops available in both buildings to return items even when the libraries are closed. There is also a new offsite bookdrops at the entrance to the Ukrop's store in Monticello Marketplace and the Farm Fresh on Merrimac Trail. Please note that these bookdrops have limited pickup times. Please return items as soon as possible to make them available for other patrons. |
