Art by Brandon Bethea Brown

An exhibit in the Williamsburg Library Gallery by this talented local artist.

Brandon is an accomplished artist known throughout the Mid-South.  Brandon works in the style of the old masters.  She  grinds her own pigments and makes her mediums and varnishes using a technique developed by Jacques Maroger, past director of the Louvre in Paris. Brandon's credits include countless awards, numerous exhibits and one woman shows.  She has also served as a juror for many exhibits, given lectures and conducted special workshops.  She taught painting for more than twenty years in Memphis at her own School as well as at Memphis State University, Shelby State College and Rhodes College.  She moved to Williamsburg in 1998 where she continues to work as a portraitist and teaches art in her own school as well as at This Century Art Gallery.
