Centuries of Art @ Your Library - The Secrets to Color Harmony

Series: Centuries of Art@Your Library

Would you like to become ‘color competent’? That’s artist and author Dan Bartges’ objective for you in this talk, and afterwards you’ll be able to apply this new understanding not only to artwork but to crafts, home decorating, needlework, gardening and everyday fashion.

Dan Bartges is a nationally known artist and the author of three books – two on sports and the most recent about color entitled “The Secrets to Color Harmony.”  Dan has lectured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and many other venues.   He’s been a full-time artist since 1996, and his oil paintings hang in the collections of a number of Fortune 500 companies.

His talk is free of charge.  A reception hosted by This Century Art Gallery follows.

Centuries of Art @ Your Library is a partnership between This Century Art Gallery, Williamsburg Regional Library and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA).  These programs have been organized by the Office of Statewide Partnerships of the VMFA and are supported by the Paul Mellon Endowment.
