John McCutcheon has mastered a dozen different instruments including the notably rare hammer dulcimer. His songwriting has been hailed by critics around the globe. His 30 recordings have garnered seven Grammy nominations. His music, whether traditional or from his huge catalog of original songs, is rooted with the profound marks of place, family and strength, and created with a story-telling style that has been compared to Will Rogers and Garrison Keillor. People of every generation and background will feel at home when John McCutcheon takes the stage.
