The Last Five Years, the Drama Desk winning musical with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, is a pop/rock musical that explores the life of a modern marriage. Jamie, a writer, and Cathy, an actress, each share the story of their marriage—from their first meeting, to their difficulties balancing careers and a relationship, and finally to their eventual break-up. However, while Jamie tells his story from beginning to end, Cathy tells hers from end to beginning. The Williamsburg production stars Annalise Weindel and Robert Weathers, is directed by Stephen Seals, and will feature live accompaniment by local musicians. The Last Five Years will be presented by Panglossian Productions in the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland St., on June 27, and 28 at 7:30 p.m. and June 21 and in a 2 p.m. matinee. Tickets are $17 for adults; $15 for Friends of WRL, seniors, and students and $10 for under 17. They can be reserved by calling the library at (757) 259-4070 or online at panglossian.org.
