A-4.0 Checkout Periods/Restrictions
A-4.1 Books
All books circulate for 28 days. During holidays or for special activities, the Youth Services and Adult Services Departments may use a 7 day status for selected books, which will be marked with a 7 day sticker on the spine.A-4.2 Audio Tapes and Compact Discs
All audio tapes and CDs circulate for 28 days.A-4.3 Videos and DVD's
Adult feature videos and DVDs circulate for 7 days: adult non-feature and children's movies circulate for 28 days. Minors may check out most videos using their own cards or an adult card, if the card is provided. "R" videos must be checked out on an adult card only. However, if a parent/guardian is present and gives permission for his/her minor to check out a "R" video, the minor may do so on his or her own card. Spouses may check out videos on the other spouse's library card without the other spouse being present, if the card is provided.A-4.4 Junior CD-ROM's and Magazines
Junior CD-ROMs circulate for 28 days. Junior magazines circulate for 7 days. The current issue of a junior magazine does not circulate, and no adult magazines circulate.A-4.5 Lit Kits
Due to the expense of replacing Lit Kits, they must be checked out on an adult's card. A limit of three Lit Kits may be checked out at one time, and they circulate for 28 days.A-4.6 Park packs
Park packs circulate for 28 days. Like Lit Kits, they must be checked out on an adult's card, and only three park packs may be checked out at one time.A-4.7 Mobile Library Service Materials
Materials checked out from the MLS, circulate for the following length of time:
2 weeks, Adult DVDs and videos, and all magazines except most current issue.
4 weeks, for the rest of the items
