Lifelong Painters and Friends Exhibit

LIFELONG PAINTERS AND FRIENDS EXHIBIT

Members of Christopher Newport University's Lifelong Learning Program share their love of nature and art.

This is an exhibition of favorite works by those who love to paint and learn together. Some of their friendships extend over years beginning with art classes offered at the old Christopher Newport College and continue today at CNU's Yoder Barn, Newport News. For some, this is their first independent group exhibition. Their paintings represent years of artistic study and life experiences from drawing and painting to sculpting and stained glass; careers and life experiences in education, engineering, homemaking, medicine, military, and most are world travelers. Altogether, this body of work reflects their dedication to art making as a practice of self-expression, joy and shared experiences. Working directly from still life, landscapes, ocean scenes and their imagination, the artists share their works of joy, peace, and dedicate practice.

To purchase or make inquiries about artwork, please check with Theater Reception to obtain the artist's contact information.
