Book Bowl Winners Take Home Trophies, Cash for College


Walsingham Academy students Bram Isgur, Tracey Lewis and Owen Ito have found out that reading pays off! Thanks to the Williamsburg Kiwanis Foundation and the Williamsburg Regional Library, the three won a total of 1,000 dollars to be used for college.

The Book Bowl took place on May 4 at the Williamsburg/James City County Recreation Center during Teen Night. Participants answered questions about books they had read in a game show format similar to "Jeopardy." They also enjoyed complimentary pizza from Ledo Pizza.

Owen Ito took home a $200 prize as the third place contestant. Tracey Lewis came in second with a $300 prize and the grand prize winner, Bram Isgur, was awarded $500. All three winners were presented with trophies from the Williamsburg Kiwanis Foundation.
