Area students are nourishing more than just their bodies at lunchtime these days.
BOOKED FOR LUNCH is a new Williamsburg Regional Library program in which library staff members travel to local elementary schools to read a book and encourage the love of reading. The first week of the program featured the library's director, Patsy Hansel, at Walsingham Academy. The local division of the Kiwanis Club has helped to sponsor the program, which provides each child with their very own copy of the featured book. Booked for Lunch continues throughout the year and will involve several different schools. For more information on the program, please call the Youth Services Department at (757) 259-7733.
