Holiday Gifts for All to Treasure

Are you still looking for that hard-to-find gift for a loved one or friend who has everything? Maybe a donation to the library is your answer. Giving a library gift is not only a unique idea, but it's also a tax-deductible contribution that the entire community can enjoy. Here are a few options to consider:

Honor a family member and help provide the library with more copies of current bestsellers, magazine subscriptions, or other items through our Adopt-A-Book program. Select a bestseller, magazine title or special item to adopt from the Adopt-A-Book notebooks in the Williamsburg Library or the James City County Library (by the check out desks). Best sellers are $15.00.
Special materials are priced individually.

Honor someone with his or her name in a book. You can pick a topic close to the heart of that person who already has everything. Materials can be added to the library collection at either building and a bookplate will honor the person. Talk with staff at the reference or check out desks for details. $15 to $25 can really mean a lot.

Get a friend a membership in the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library. Membership levels start as low as $10 for students. Memberships run through December 31, 2001.

Don't forget the ongoing Friends of the Library sales at both library locations, which offer a wide variety of books, magazines and music for very low prices. The libraries also offer library sale books, which are copies of older titles in excellent condition. Proceeds benefit the libraries.
