........ Images of Williamsburg
Reception and Reading at the
Williamsburg Library TheatreWilliamsburg's long and varied history has inspired many things - political rebellion, music, art, and literature. Images of Williamsburg, the first book published to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the City of Williamsburg, captures the poetry that Williamsburg inspires. This collection by more than a dozen Virginia poets includes the work of Joseph Awad, the poet laureate of Virginia. Ten of the poets represented in this book, all members of the Williamsburg Poetry Guild, will read their works during this free program. A reception will precede the event at 7:00 p.m. Copies of the collection Images of Williamsburg will be available for purchase.
