Park Packs are backpacks filled with field guides, stories, park maps and tools for investigating the outdoors. Most of the award-winning packs are designed especially for 4th through 8th graders, but can also be enjoyed by the whole family. Topics range from birds and fossils to revolutionary times in Yorktown and Pocahontas. They are available at both library locations and require an adult's library card to check out.
Park Packs are a joint venture of the Williamsburg Regional Library, Colonial National Historical Park, York River State Park and the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. This project has been funded by a grant from the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library. For more information about Park Packs, please call (757) 259-7753.
