Dolorez' Blues: One Woman's Journey
Acclaimed poet Hermine Pinson recites and sings her poetry, accompanied by renowned guitarist Tomas Doncker and guest artists Harris Simon (keyboard), Terry Burrell (bass) and Billy Williams, Jr. (drums). The ensemble will perform selections from Pinson’s CD, “Changing the Changes,” which includes original poems and songs created in collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa. Ms. Pinson seamlessly fuses blues, jazz and poetry to produce a unique and exciting experience. Presented in partnership with the Ewell Concert Series at the College of William and Mary.
Free. Tickets not required. Doors open at 7.
