Celtic Film Series

The Celtic Film Series is presented by the Williamsburg Regional Library in cooperation with the local chapters of the St. Andrew Benevolent Association and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians.

This powerful drama set in Northern Ireland centers on a young Catholic priest fresh from seminary, full of idealistic beliefs and faith. He is mistakenly taken to an isolated house where an IRA group is holding a suspected informer awaiting execution. The priest is expected to hear the informer's last confession but refuses to go along with this and locks himself in a room with the victim, threatening to expose the IRA members. The terrorists are now faced with the possibility of having to kill a priest, a decision none of them can take.
