Adult Summer Reading

Adults can get in on Summer Reading fun too!

Hot weather means cool prizes in our Adult Summer Reading program. Read and log five titles and you'll get a scratch ticket with a chance to win our 2019 Summer Reading tote bag, WRL Reads coffee mug, gift cards, and more. Keep track of the books you finish through or on a paper reading log. Beginning June 17, come to one of the library buildings or Mobile Library Services stops to turn in your reading log. Your chance of winning a prize has increased!

Is It Interactive?
Yes! If you want to share your thoughts about the books you're reading you can post reviews online through Beanstack. We may even feature your review on our Facebook page.

How Do I Log Books?

You have two options -- either online or the old-fashioned way.

  • You can sign up and log your books online through Beanstack (, which makes it incredibly easy to keep up with your summer reading (and your kids' summer reading!) on the go. Beanstack even has a new-and-improved app, which is available now for both Apple and Android devices.

  • Are you more of a pen-and-paper kind of person? Stop by any Reference Desk or our Mobile Library Services vehicle to pick up a hard copy book log.

How Long Does The Program Last?
Sign-ups (both in-person and online) for Adult Summer Reading begin June 10. You can collect scratch tickets from June 17 through August 31.
