Adult Summer Reading

New this year -- adults can get in on the Summer Reading fun as well!

How Does It Work?
For every four books you log, you'll win a scratch-off card offering a chance to win a pint glass, a WRL tote bag, or gift certificates for local businesses (limit of five cards per person). Everyone who reads at least four books will also be entered into a drawing for one of two grand prizes.

Is It Interactive?
Yes! If you want to share your thoughts about the books you're reading you can post reviews online through Beanstack. We may even feature your review on our Facebook page.

How Do I Log Books?
You have two options -- either online or the old-fashioned way.

  • You can sign up and log your books online through Beanstack (wrl.beanstack.org), which makes it incredibly easy to keep up with your summer reading (and your kids' summer reading!) on the go. Beanstack even has a brand new mobile app called Beanstack Tracker, which is available now for both Apple and Android devices.

  • Are you more of a pen-and-paper kind of person? Stop by any Reference Desk or our Mobile Library Services vehicle to pick up a hard copy book log.

How Long Does The Program Last?
Sign-ups (both in-person and online) for Adult Summer Reading begin June 11. You can collect scratch-off cards (one for every four books you read) from June 18 through August 31. The grand prize drawings will take place September 4.
