Summer storytimes begin June 5th! Each week during Summer Reading, we offer a variety of storytimes for all ages.
For toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age kids, our All Ages/Puppet Storytime features 20-30 minutes of stories, rhymes, and fingerplays designed for children and their caregivers — and from June 20 – August 8, we’ve got puppets! Our fabulous teen volunteers join us in the summer to bring our WRL puppets to life with a variety of sensational songs. Join us after these storytimes for outdoor play at Terrific Tuesdays and Fun Fridays on the Square.
Baby Lapsit Storytime is a program built especially for babies from birth to 18 months and their caregivers. This storytime includes 15 minutes of songs, fingerplays, and lap games. The baby storytime will feature the same songs and activities every week; this repetition of rhymes and songs forms a foundation for learning for your baby and strengthens the language connections in the brain.
Our evening storytime and craft is developed for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age kids, and features 20-30 minutes of stories, rhymes, and fingerplays designed for children and their caregivers, followed by a fun themed craft. This storytime is limited in size; free tickets will be given out at the Children’s Desk beginning an hour before storytime.
