Summer reading is back! Sign up for the challenge at or click on the Beanstack logo on the right. Then log your reading and visit the library to share your titles and win fun coupons or prizes. We offer a weekly coupon or prize for all participants, plus the following rewards for completing the challenge:

If you’re in the younger program (Birth – 5th grade) and you log 40 books between June 1 and August 31, you will earn a special gold library card and card holder.

If you’re in the older program (6th – 12th grade) and you log 20 hours of reading between June 1 and August 31, you will earn a Barnes & Noble gift card. When you log your reading, you will also earn electronic tickets to enter into drawings for fun prizes.

Last but not least, every participant can choose a book to take home during the Free Book Week celebration!

The Williamsburg Regional Library, with the generous support of the Friends of WRL Foundation, the Herbert Friedman Library Fund, and other donors, offers the Summer Reading Program for all ages who live in Williamsburg, James City, or York counties.
