Enter the dreamlike world of an octopus in this gorgeous, intimate nature film, which won 2021’s Oscar for Best Documentary. Filmmaker Craig Foster dove in South African kelp forests every day for a year to observe a common octopus’s life of camouflage, exploration, and escape from predators. Judas and the Black Messiah (2021)

An FBI informant, William O’Neal (LaKeith Stanfield), infiltrates the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party to gather evidence on its chairman, Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya). But as he becomes involved in the group’s activities, he begins to doubt the righteousness of the investigation. This fact-based movie directed by Shaka King was nominated for six Academy Awards with Mr. Kaluuya winning for Best Actor. R
