Join us for science and fun! Each month we’ll bring a different STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) program to the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center (8901 Pocahontas Tr.), along with hands-on activities and crafts – and free pizza and ice cream at noon!

This month: Up, Up, and Away!

Showtime at 11:30 a.m.

Our Mad Scientist will amaze all as we learn all about the principles of air and pressure. Hot air balloons, vortex generators, and flying toilet paper will help children of all ages understand the power of air. And the fun doesn’t end there — come any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for more science activities and crafts, such as making your own paper rocket and shooting it 200 feet in the air using our stomp rocket launchers.

This program was made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
