Armchair Travel: See England Without Leaving the US
October 4 @ 6:30 pm
Love to visit England, but hate the jet lag? Then let Anne Kenny-Urban lead you through a tour of “England in America.” From the comfort of your seat, travel from Connecticut to Nevada in search of English architectural treasures that have made the journey from the Old World to the New. Hear the incredible stories of why and how the structures were transported to America and what purpose they serve now.
Anne Kenny-Urban is the Executive Director of Agecroft Hall & Gardens, a house museum that showcases daily life in a Tudor manor house that was built in England in the 16th century and moved to Virginia in 1925.
This program is a part of the Centuries of Art series, brought to you in partnership by Williamsburg Regional Library, the Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
