The history of Jamestown is familiar to the American public, but who exactly were the people living in the Middle Atlantic for tens of thousands of years before Europeans set foot here? In this talk, Taylor Triplett, doctoral student in anthropology, takes a closer look at ancient Native American history through a re-examination of evidence collected at the Hand site in southeastern Virginia, and sheds light on how archaeologists work to understand the past.
