This month we’re discussing Jimi Hendrix Turns Eighty by Tim Sandlin. Sandlin’s comedy is an examination of aging in our society. Put in a nursing home filled with aged baby boomers, Guy Fontaine navigates between people still divided by where they were in the Summer of Love. When an illicit pet triggers a revolt among the residents, all those lessons learned in the Civil Rights era come in handy.

Novel Ideas explores classic and contemporary fiction and nonfiction from around the world. This group will sample critically acclaimed and prize-winning titles with open and inclusive discussion.
