CANCELED: Novel Ideas: An American Marriage

March 16 @ 2:00 pm

Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, all library programs are canceled through April 5. We apologize for any inconvenience.

________________________________________________

This month we’ll be discussing An American Marriage. Newlyweds Roy Hamilton and Celestial Davenport are horrified when Roy is tried and sentenced to 12 years for a crime he didn’t commit. While Roy is in prison, Celestial’s personal and professional lives are changing. Then Roy’s conviction is overturned, and he returns to a life he doesn’t recognize or understand.

We’ll also distribute April’s title, The 100-Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared.

Novel Ideas is a librarian-led exploration of classic and contemporary fiction and non-fiction from around the world. This wide-ranging group will sample critically acclaimed and prize-winning titles with open and inclusive discussion aimed at engaging readers with the book and with each other.
