March 4 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until May 27, 2020
Preschool Storytime is a storytime program designed for preschoolers aged 3 to 5 and their caregivers featuring stories, rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and other activities. It is followed by Preschool Stay and STEM, a drop-in playdate program. STEM – science, technology, engineering, and math – activities promote ways of thinking, doing, and measuring that help children understand and interact with the world around them, skills that are a predictor of future science and mathematics ability. The toys selected for this program offer opportunities for children to use their natural curiosity and play to develop these STEM skills, and are made possible by a grant from the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation. Due to the nature of the toys, this playtime is recommended for ages 3+.
Free tickets will be available at the Youth Services Reference Desk one hour prior to the start of storytime; capacity is limited to 40 participants. Due to capacity restrictions, we are not able to accommodate childcare centers at storytimes.
