This month we’re discussing Blood and Treasure: Daniel Boone and the Fight for America’s First Frontier by Robert Drury and Tom Clavin. Drury and Clavin center the career of legendary pathfinder Daniel Boone against the fiery backdrop of America’s expansion past the Appalachians. Fueled by contemporary diaries and eyewitness accounts, this vivid history explores mid 18th-century clashes among frontier settlers, the Shawnee and other Native American tribes, and the French and English superpowers.

Real People/Real Stories meets the third Thursday of each month and explores the best in nonfiction history, biography, science, nature, and the arts.

Please note that the City of Williamsburg requires masks for all visitors in the Stryker Center regardless of vaccination status.
