This month we’re discussing Last Train to Paradise by Les Standiford. Oil tycoon Henry Flagler envisioned a railroad spanning the length of Florida and crossing the open ocean to Key West. Learn how engineers and builders drove through through mosquito and alligator-infested swampland to build the “Eighth Wonder of the World” only to see it destroyed by a deadly hurricane in 1935.
