STEAM Saturdays: Exciting Engineering
March 2, 2019 @ 2:00 pm
At 1, 2, and 3 p.m., explore simple machines with presenters from The Children’s Museum of Richmond, then work in teams to tinker with recycled materials. But the fun doesn’t end there – come any time between 1 and 4 p.m. for STEAM-related interactive activities and art projects, such as using Makedo tools to build cardboard creations, building compressed air rockets, and participating in an epic domino rally.
STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math – all the areas kids love to explore. Each month we’ll present a different STEAM-related program along with hands-on activities and crafts, designed with school-aged kids in mind, and made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
