Come explore simple machines in one of three sessions with presenters from The Children’s Museum of Richmond, then work in teams to tinker with recycled materials. (Shows are at 1, 2, and 3 p.m.)Between 1 and 4 p.m. you can also participate in other STEAM-related interactive activities and art projects, such as using Makedo tools to build cardboard creations, building compressed air rockets, and programming our mini robots.

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math – all the areas kids love to explore. Each month we’ll present a different STEAM-related program along with hands-on activities and crafts, designed with school-aged kids in mind, and made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
