A discontented woman (Kathy Bates) befriends a cheerful nursing home resident (Jessica Tandy) who tells engrossing tales of her childhood. Mary Stuart Masterson and Mary-Louise Parker costar under the direction of Jon Avnet. 2hrs 10min 

March 14: The Corn is Green (1945) NR 

Bette Davis plays a schoolteacher in a poor Welsh mining town bucking tradition and expectations to help a promising young man succeed as a scholar. Based on a true story, this drama was directed by Irving Rapper and costars Nigel Bruce. 1hr 55min 

March 21: The Green Man (1956) NR 

A skilled assassin finds his attempts to take out his latest target continually thwarted by a persistent vacuum cleaner salesman in this droll British comedy. Alastair Sim stars with able support from costars George Cole, Terry-Thomas, and Jill Adams. 1hr 20min 

March 28: Green Mansions (1959) NR 

Mel Ferrer directed this unusual film about a political refugee (Anthony Perkins) on the run in South America who encounters a mysterious “Bird Girl” (Audrey Hepburn) living alone in the Amazon forest. Based on William Henry Hudson’s classic 1904 novel. 1hr 44min
