Now in its 19th year, the Throwback Thursday Film Series screens a variety of classic movies for an adult audience.
February Theme: Caught in a Bad Romance
February 3: Dial M for Murder (1954), 2:00-3:50 p.m.
- Alfred Hitchcock directed this taut thriller about a vengeful husband (Ray Milland) scheming to murder his unfaithful wife (Grace Kelly). PG
February 10: All This, and Heaven Too (1940), 2-4:25 p.m.
- In 1840s Paris, a duchess’ obsessive jealousy of her children’s nanny leads to scandal and murder. Bette Davis and Charles Boyer star in this melodrama based on the actual Duke de Praslin murder case. NR
February 17: Married to the Mob (1988), 2-3:50 p.m.
- Michelle Pfeiffer plays a mobster’s widow who tries to start a new life but is pursued by gangsters and the FBI in this wise guy comedy directed by Jonathan Demme. R
February 24: Midnight Lace (1960), 2-3:50 p.m.
- Doris Day plays a newly married woman in London who begins receiving threats and menacing phone calls from an unknown stalker. Rex Harrison plays her suspicious husband with Myrna Loy, John Gavin, and Roddy McDowall costarring in this dark thriller. NR
