Join curators from the Williamsburg Historic Records Association, housed in Special Collections at Swem Library, to learn what to do if you have materials related to the history of the City of Williamsburg you’d like to donate. Jay Gaidmore will talk about some of the local history collections in Swem Library, the types of materials they want to collect, the process for donating materials, and the support and services they can provide to individuals, families, and organizations looking to preserve their histories.  Andre Taylor will discuss ongoing oral history projects, the process for requesting an oral history, and how these oral histories will be made accessible and preserved over the long-term.
