WhoDunnits is a discussion group devoted to mysteries that follows a yearlong program of books and movies around a single topic. This year we’re taking a look at International Mysteries, both contemporary and historical.  It’s murder worldwide! This month we’ll be discussing The Shape of Water. Inspector Montalbano works the mean streets of Sicily, where poverty, corruption, and convoluted relationships make law enforcement tricky. When a rising politician is found dead in a compromising position, Montalbano disobeys his superiors, the Church, and other politicians to follow his instinct that this was no ordinary death. Montalbano brings dark humor to a mystery as noir as any Raymond Chandler ever wrote.
We’ll also be passing out March’s book, March Violets by Philip Kerr.
