The Friends of the Library Foundation is an important part of the team that makes Williamsburg Regional Library possible. Local governments provide most of the funding that the library needs to function, but the Friends expand what is possible when the community invests in literacy. Since 2013, the foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit (Federal I.D. # 54-1639135), has received over $1,200,000 in philanthropic support from individuals and businesses committed to changing lives through the power of knowledge. These gifts help enhance the library’s collections and programs and they make the exceptional services and facilities accessible to everyone.
