Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library

Book Nook Statement of Purpose

The Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation operate Book Nooks at both library locations.

The primary purpose of the Book Nooks is to raise funds that will be used by the Friends to expand and enhance library programs, such as the Dewey Decibel Concert Series; Adult and Children’s Summer Reading; One Book, One Community; the library’s Maker Space; and the Digital Memory Lab, among many others. Volunteers do this by accepting donated books and media and making them available at very low prices to the public. Over the past decade, the Book Nooks have raised more than $1,000,000.
