Peninsula Concert Band

A free concert of favorites presented by this ensemble of more than 40 musicians.

The Peninsula Concert Band with more than 60 years of performing in the Tidewater area, is a non-profit organization chartered in 1956 to serve the Peninsula cities. It is made up of member of local military bands as well as civilian musicians. The band has presented a variety of concerts over the years, including concerts at churches, dedications, graduations, retirement communities, An Occasion for the Arts, and Newport News Centennial celebrations

  • Horse and Buggy -- Leroy Anderson
  • Selections from Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins -- Richard Sherman and Robert Sherman
  • America the Beautiful -- Samuel A. Ward, arr: Eric Morales
  • Shenandoah -- Traditional, arr: James D. Ployhar

A free-will donation opportunity will be provided for the benefit of the band.
