STEAM Saturdays: Hands-On Robots

Kids become wrapped up in the world of robotics! The award-winning Menchville High School Robotics Team will bring their FIRST Robotics competition robot to the library, where they will be joined by Toano Middle School's VEX IQ robots and the Society of Women Engineers' LEGO mindstorm NXT robot. Kids can see these robots in action during Open House-style demonstrations throughout the afternoon.  We will also have opportunities for kids to explore and learn how to use Spheros, Ozobots, and Bloxels.

Each month we’ll present a different STEAM-related program along with hands-on activities and crafts. Try one or try them all. STEAM Saturday programs and activities are designed with school-aged kids in mind, and are made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
