STEAM Saturdays: The Magical Math Tour

Kids of all ages will be energized with laughter, cheers, and applause while they review important mathematical concepts with The Magical Math Tour, starring mathmagician Brian Curry. Children will play a special version of "Deal or No Deal" while they uncover the meaning of probability. They will review fractions as a newspaper is torn in half, quarters, eighths...then is magically restored. Each amazing piece of magic they see not only demonstrates a concrete math concept, but helps kids relate math to their everyday lives long after the curtain closes.

Our March STEAM Saturday is all about the magic of math, so come early and stay after the program for STEAM-related interactive activities and art projects. The Magical Math Tour will repeat at 3 p.m.

STEAM SaturdaysSpend some quality time with your family during our STEAM Saturdays! STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math – all the areas kids love to explore. Each month we’ll present a different STEAM-related program along with hands-on activities and crafts. Try one or try them all. STEAM Saturday programs and activities are designed with school-aged kids in mind, and are made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library Foundation.
